Arvada Center Seed Mapping Project

Seed Mapping is an experimental, participatory art project intended to create a sort of map of the movements of visitors to the Arvada Center’s Unbound: Sculpture in the Field.

Visitors can participate by buying tokens at the ticket desk and redeem them at one of two vending machines for seed balls made from native Colorado flower and grass seeds, soil, clay and natural pigments. If conditions are right the grasses and flowers will establish themselves over the course of the next couple of years. In addition to mapping movements this project may begin to restore some of the native plants that may have once grown here.
